Note: If you purchased a multi-license key, it can unlock multiple Ninebot scooters.
Important: Once a license is linked to a specific scooter, it cannot be changed or reused.
Requirements
- A smartphone with Bluetooth:
- Android: any recent device with Bluetooth enabled
- iPhone: use the Bluefy – Web BLE Browser
- A supported browser: Google Chrome on Android or Bluefy on iOS
- System settings: Make sure both Bluetooth and location services are turned on
- Set Bookmark

Start Tuning
- Make sure that your Ninebot scooter is switched on and is within Bluetooth range (max. 5 meters).
- Close the Segway app so that there is no longer a Bluetooth symbol on the display of your scooter.
- Copy the license key to your clipboard so that you do not have to insert it, but copy it in by pressing “insert”.
- Open https://wlbt.1dragon.de/ in the browser of your smartphone. The URL may change, so please always open this page first (and bookmark it beforehand).
- Click Start and allow Bluetooth access to the e-scooter.
- Confirm the connection by pressing (tap) the power button in the hand control once (also displayed in the browser).
- Select your e-scooter from the list after it is displayed.
- Enter your license key (insert) when prompted.
- Confirm and follow the instructions on the screen to unlock.
- After setting up your Ninebot scooter, tuning is always disabled. The combination of how to unlock your e-scooter is displayed in the browser (example: press the brake x times, press the accelerator x times).
- Important: Activation must be done shortly after turning on the scooter. If the combination does not work, turn the scooter off and on again and try again.
- You can remove the tuning again and reinstall it. Your license key is linked to your e-scooter serial number.
Done! Your scooter is now unlocked. You can re-lock it at any time using the same interface.

Error Messages & Help
- Error: No device found
→ Make sure that the scooter is switched on, within range and not connected to another device. Bluetooth must be switched on in the smartphone and the manufacturer's Segway app must be closed, the Bluetooth symbol on the display must be extinguished. Only then can a connection be established with the Bluefy browser (or Bluetooth-enabled browser).
Tip: If you still cannot connect, try restarting your smartphone, turn Bluetooth off and on again, and make sure no other app (like Segway-Ninebot or XiaoFlasher) is running in the background.
- Error: Browser not supported
→ Use Chrome (Android) or Safari (iPhone) and activate Bluetooth access. The free Bluefy browser is particularly suitable, especially for smartphones with iOS. If it does not work the first time, please close the Bluefy browser completely and restart it. Make sure that you have sufficient reception with your smartphone to ensure a stable online connection.
Note: Not all browsers support Bluetooth on every device. If you experience problems, try an alternative device or browser.
- Error: License invalid
→ Check your 25-digit code. If you receive the message “Code Invalid”, please try to copy the code to the clipboard and paste it into the field. Typing in the codes can lead to a timeout. If you encounter problems, please repeat the process.
Attention: Each code is only valid for the purchased number of activations and cannot be reused once the limit is reached.
- Error: Couldn't create firmware file. This may be due to the firmware being already modified or the controller not being original.
→ Possible causes: The firmware of your e-scooter may have already been modified, or the controller is no longer in its original state. In rare cases, this message may also appear on brand-new, original scooters.
→ What to do:- Copy the Unlock Key: Make sure to enter your license key exactly using copy & paste—do not type it manually!
- Check for original condition: Your scooter must be in its original, unmodified state (no previous tuning attempts, no replacement controller).
- Follow instructions carefully: Please follow the step-by-step guide at de.mountaintuning.com/pages/nbt.
- If the error persists: Restart your device and your browser.
- Still not working? If your unlock key has not been used and activation is not possible, please contact support. You may be eligible for a refund or a new key after we have verified your case.
