Bosch with ABS or a rim / valve magnet?
MountainTuning solutions do not fit Bosch e-bikes with ABS or with the speed magnet on the rim or valve. The Bosch Tuning Finder at EBikeTuningShop shows the alternatives.

Specialized / Brose
MTT SpecB for Specialized
The tuning sensor for many Specialized e-bikes with Brose motor – Levo, Kenevo, Como, Tero and Vado (model years 2019–2022). It replaces the original sensor at the brake disc; the original can be reinstalled at any time.

Good to know
Honest facts before you buy.
Hardware tuning on the Bosch Smart System comes with a few trade-offs. We'd rather tell you upfront.
- Display: with tuning active, the Bosch display shows the real speed only up to approx. 22–25 km/h. Use GPS for your real speed.
- Odometer: the total distance no longer matches the real distance while tuning is active.
- Firmware: confirmed up to Bosch 21.12.0. Don't install newer updates until we confirm them – and tell your dealer before a service.
- Not for every Bosch: no solution for bikes with ABS or with a rim / valve magnet.

Which solution is right for my Bosch e-bike?
If you want tuning you can take off, choose Splug. If you want it permanently installed, choose the SmartChip V2. If you want to swap back to the original sensor at any time, choose the SmartSensor.
Is there a solution for Specialized e-bikes?
Yes – the MTT SpecB for Specialized e-bikes with Brose motor: Levo, Kenevo, Como, Tero and Vado, model years 2019–2022. It replaces the original speed sensor, which can be reinstalled at any time.
Which Bosch firmware is supported?
Splug, SmartChip V2 and SmartSensor are compatible up to and including Bosch firmware 21.12.0. Please install newer versions only after we have confirmed compatibility.
How quickly can I remove the tuning?
With Splug, in a second: pull off the dongle and the bike is back to stock. SmartChip and SmartSensor can be set to "tuning always off" with wheel movements when switching the bike on, and the SmartSensor can be swapped back to the original sensor at any time.

May I ride a tuned e-bike on public roads?
No. Tuned e-bikes are not permitted on public roads. Tuning may also affect warranty, guarantee and insurance cover. Please read the warnings.
