For Specialized model years 2019–2022
One sensor out, one sensor in.
The SpecB takes the place of the original speed sensor at the brake disc. Nothing else on the bike is changed – which makes it easy to undo.
Fully reversible
Keep the original Specialized sensor. Reinstall it and the bike is in its original condition again.
Three modes, no app
Tuning on, tuning off, or decide at switch-on – selected with wheel movements, without PC or smartphone.
Adjustable maximum speed
The maximum supported speed can be set individually, also with wheel movements.
Walk assist unaffected
The signal is only adapted above walking speed, so the WALK mode works as usual.
No battery
Powered by the e-bike. Nothing to charge, nothing to replace.
Original mounting position
Mounted in the holder of the original sensor – no extra brackets or modules needed.

You decide when tuning is active.
Choose the mode with specific wheel movements when switching the bike on – the magnet is moved past the sensor. Programming is optional.
Tuning always on
Speed limit lifted. Delivered with the highest supported speed.
Tuning always off
Assistance up to 25 km/h and correct speed display.
Decide at switch-on
Tuning activates only if the magnet sits in front of the sensor for at least 4 seconds while you switch the bike on. Otherwise it stays off.
How it works
With tuning active, the SpecB passes an adapted speed signal to the motor – only above walking speed. Assistance continues beyond the factory limit of 25 km/h.
Honest note on the display
With tuning active, the display no longer shows the real speed above 25 km/h, and the odometer no longer matches the real distance. Tip: use GPS on your smartphone in a handlebar mount.
Swap the sensor at the brake disc.
The original sensor sits on the rear frame, usually next to the thru-axle, and reads the magnet on the brake disc. Its cable runs through the frame to the motor.
1Open the motor cover
Remove the cover on the motor and unplug the speed sensor cable.
2Remove the original sensor
Unscrew the sensor holder at the rear frame and take the sensor out. Tip: pull a draw wire through with the cable – that makes routing the new one easy.
3Fit the SpecB
Route the cable through the frame, place the SpecB in the holder, screw the holder back on and plug it in at the motor.
4Close and keep the original
Refit the cover. Store the original sensor safely – you'll need it to return to the original condition.
Tools you may need
- Torx or Allen key for motor cover and sensor holder
- Draw wire or thin cord for cable routing
Not comfortable with this? Any bike workshop can do the installation.
In the box & specs
- 1 MTT SpecB tuning sensor
- Manual
- Power supply: via the e-bike, no battery
Frequently asked questions
Which Specialized models does the SpecB fit?
Specialized e-bikes with Brose motor from the Levo, Kenevo, Como, Tero and Vado series, model years 2019 to 2022 – see the list on this page, including NB versions.
Does it fit models from 2023 or later?
Please check with us before ordering: write to team@mountaintuning.com with model, model year and motor.
How do I return my bike to its original condition?
Reinstall the original speed sensor you kept. Alternatively, select “tuning always off” with wheel movements – the bike then behaves like stock with the SpecB still fitted.
Does the walk-assist mode still work?
Yes. The signal is only adapted above walking speed, so the WALK mode is not affected.
Why does my display stop showing the real speed?
With tuning active, the display no longer shows the real speed above 25 km/h and the odometer differs from the real distance. Use GPS for your real speed.
Do I need an app, a PC or a battery?
No. Settings are made with wheel movements, and the SpecB is powered by the e-bike.
Where can I buy it and which countries are shipped to?
The SpecB is available exclusively at EBikeTuningShop.com. Orders ship to most EU countries; customers in Switzerland use a separate shipping service. Currently no shipping to France, the USA or Canada.
May I ride on public roads with the SpecB?
Not with tuning active. Tuned e-bikes are not permitted on public roads. Please read our warnings and observe the laws of your country.
