EBTsmart Unlock Key for Bosch Smart System: Digital licence code for Bosch Smart System that unlocks motor assistance up to 32 km/h (or 45 km/h) – without additional hardware and with correct values on the display (speed/distance/kilometres unaltered).

With the EBTsmart Unlock Key, you receive a digital licence to permanently remove the 25 km/h speed limit on your Bosch e-bike – directly in your browser, without installing any software and without additional hardware. All you need is a browser (PC or Mac) and a standard USB cable to connect your PC to your Bosch e-bike.

The application runs conveniently via our online platform (URL after purchase and delivery of the licence key) and is compatible with e-bikes with Bosch Smart System.

New optional 45 km/h version

For riders looking for even more performance, the EBT Smart Unlock Key is also available in a special 45 km/h version. The standard 32 km/h version offers motor assistance up to 32 km/h while maintaining correct speed and distance display values. The optional 45 km/h version, designed for Bosch Smart System bikes with or without a rim magnet setup, enables motor assistance up to 45 km/h after the corresponding configuration. Please note that with the 45 km/h version, the displayed values are no longer accurate above approximately 22 km/h. This variant combines the flexibility of a digital unlocking solution with the extended performance of a higher assistance threshold. Depending on the bike setup, the 45 km/h version may require additional hardware or an adapted sensor configuration.

Important Information & Tips

- Please enter the license key with hyphens and without spaces.
Make sure to use a fully functional USB data cable.
- In most cases, the USB port is located on the Remote Control, although it may also be positioned elsewhere depending on the bike model. Please refer to the bike’s user manual for the exact location.
- The activation process may take several minutes. Please ensure that the computer, Android smartphone, and e-bike battery are sufficiently charged before starting.
- After activation, the riding profiles must be configured in the eBike Flow app.
- The speed limit can be switched back at any time to 25 km/h or, depending on the selected configuration, to 32 km/h or 45 km/h using the license key web application.
- The maximum motor assistance can also be repeatedly set to 45 km/h if desired. Please note that this function is not available for e-bikes equipped with ABS.
- If error messages occur while using the 45 km/h setting, please switch back to the 32 km/h option.
- Once the license code has been used, it is excluded from refund.
If minor bugs occur, they will be documented and addressed in future updates.
